Ellen Elizabeth Whitaker

Ellen Elizabeth Whitaker, age 62, of Bristol, Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at her residence.  She was born May 16, 1962, to the late James Junior Sipes and Katherine Owens Sipes in Abingdon, Va.  She attended worship services at the Salvation Army in Bristol, Tenn.  

In addition to her parents, Ellen was also preceded in death by her brother, James Lee Sipes.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Lee Whitaker and wife, Sally Ann, of Saltville, Va. and Luke Arant, of the home; sister, Ruth Ann Spiva, of Abingdon, Va.; and three nephews, Austin Spiva, Dustin Spiva, and Kevin Spiva.
