Jeffrey Alan "Jeffro" Gibson

Jeffrey Alan "Jeffro" Gibson, age 46, of Abingdon, Va., passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Friday, September 22, 2023. Locally he was known as a longtime employee of JJ's Restaurant & Sports Bar. He relocated to the area in January of 2017 from Cheverly, Md. A man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, Jeffro will forever be remembered as a casual and laid-back individual.

Born in Maryland to the late William Blakely Gibson, III and Judy Gibson, Jeffro endured the pain of losing his sister, Lana Gibson, before him.  Jeffro leaves behind two sisters, Jennifer McCaskill and her husband, Brett Ross of Fla., and Nicole Kreamer; along with his brother, Blake Gibson of Johnson City, Tenn.

In honor of Jeffro's easygoing nature and love for informal gatherings, an intimate celebration of his life will be held at JJ's Restaurant & Sports Bar on Monday, October 2, 2023, from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
