Lillian Geneva Olinger

Lillian Geneva “Lynn” Hogston Olinger, aged 71, of Abingdon, Va., departed this life on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Ballad Hospice House. A devoted Christian, Lynn's life was a testament to her faith, as she was actively engaged in her church, the Abingdon First Assembly of God, where she sang in the choir.

Born on October 17, 1953, in Saltville, Va., Lynn was the daughter of the late George David Hogston and Georgia Mae Keller Hogston. 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Kenneth Eugene Olinger; and four siblings, David Hogston, Brenda Reys, Delores Holmes, and Cathy Lee. 

Lynn is survived by two sons, Jackie Shannon Olinger and wife, Becky, of Bristol, Tenn. and Terry Don Olinger, of the home; two daughters, Lesley James Lint and husband, Greg, of Abingdon, Va. and Laura Roberts and husband, Chad Roberts, of Florida; special daughter, Janet Pippin and husband, Gary, of Meadowview, Va.; three grandchildren, Olivia Clementine Gaal, Geneva Katherine “Ginny” Bryant, and Jonathan Reagan Bryant; two special grandchildren, Brigette Pippin Trogden and Bradley Pippin; and special great grandchildren, Riley Trogdon and Mattie Lou Trogdon; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
